Well I’ve managed to make print. The very nice people at “The Dubliner” have included me in their sex blog list. (Thanks to Epona for the heads-up.) Not one I’ll be showing to mum, even though they did say some very nice things. Worth picking up a copy to read the article on being single over 30 and the age old debate of settle versus compromise.
The timing is particular good as I’m off to meet my agent tomorrow, (was busy practicing my air kissing all weekend), so I’ll be casually leaving the magazine open on the appropriate page to remind him of my general greatness. He will be talking about lots of things “in the pipe-line”. I am beginning to suspect that it is the Shell pipe line off the coast of Mayo, as both seem to have a similar level of progress. How anyone achieves over-night fame is beyond me!
Assuming you are very drunk, in a dark room and squinting - a lot. Email me on Irishflirtysomething at hotmail.com

Excellent news, well done. Good luck and let us know how it goes. Isn’t there a writer that said “it took ten years to be an overnight success” of something like that lol

That article about being single over 30 appeared in the Sunday Times about a month ago, and somewhere else before that. The author seems confused - she had a child by artificial insemination in her 30s. Methinks she should have dished her eggs up to Mr Right (or Mr Nearly Right) instead!
I’m surprised at the Dubliner printing something that has already appeared twice - I thought they were more original there and wrote their own material.
At least something original made it into the Dubliner - Flirty’s blog!

Good luck with the meeting.
Way before the concept became mega, Bridget Jones’ Diary was a column in the London Independent (Tuesday, I think). I used to buy the paper just to read it, as it was not just funny, but also realistic in a way that the best writing is.
Your blog reminds me, of BJ - but in the best possible way … may you go on to achieve similar greatness (and wealth)
